The app

Ciel runs entirely on your Mac. It has no account, server, or analytics, and it makes no network requests while it runs.

Ciel stores your preferences, shortcuts, and launch history in the app.mauriciopolvora.ciel defaults domain. It caches the list of installed apps at ~/Library/Caches/app.mauriciopolvora.ciel/apps.json. Nothing in either place is sent anywhere.

Window commands use macOS Accessibility access to move and resize windows you choose. Ciel reads window positions and sizes for that purpose only.
